Yes, it was the day I finally saw BEAUTY staring right back at me – and I don’t need to travel far to witness this. A 20 minute trip from my Atlantis made me love my city more!

The school I work in were provided entrance tickets to the Ferrari Festival of Speed last Sunday, the 23rd of April in BSD City. Yes, not in Jakarta but in the outskirts. I don’t think Jakarta has enough space needed to display the ‘Ferrari Beast Mode’. I was not a Ferrari fan although I am a Ferrari admirer. Beauty, art and a certain air of elusiveness – that’s Ferrari through my eyes.

Let’s go back in time and have a look on how Ferrari started.
Appointed head of Alfa Cose in 1938, Enzo Ferrari quit his job to start on his own, the Auto Avio Costruzioni, in the old Scuderia Buildings. The 1,500 cm2 8 cylinder 815 Spider was produced, two of which were built for Mille Miolin in 1940.
The second World War put a stop on racing activities in late 1943. By the end of the war, Ferrari designed and built the 1500 cm2 12 cylinder 125 S that had its debut at the Piacenzia Circuit with Franco Cortese behind the wheel on 11 May 1947. On the 25th of the same month, it won the Rome Grand Prix that initiated over 5,000 wins around the world of tracks and roads, making its name a legend.
“15 F1 World Drivers Championship, 16 F1 World Constructors’ Championships, 14 Sports Car Manufacturers’ World titles, nine wins at 24 Hours of Le Mans, eight at the Mille Miglia, seven at the Targa Florio and 226 victories in F1 Grand Prix” taken from Ferrari.com. No, these figures do not make you love a Ferrari.
You love a Ferrari because of its elegance, beauty and supremacy. When you see a street full of Ferraris as far as the eyes can see, that’s when you become crazy. Then turn into a devotee, like me.
