There is a spot where you can see the waterfalls from above and take photos.  You can also go down and have another trek to see it from below.  Well, this one is not a walk in the park but the experience is quite worth it.  Be careful as you will be going down and some parts are slippery.

Inggil Restaurant

If you are into antiques and history, you should not skip Inggil Restaurant.  Aside from the food, the your eyes will get a fill of Indonesian interwoven with Dutch, Chinese and Arab history.  It a feast for the senses.  If you are lucky, you will even witness a Javanese musical performance accompanied with the gamelan.

Badut Temple

It is the oldest surviving structure in Malang.  Read up its history and you will find it interesting.  For Hindus, it is considered as a Holy Place.

What you’ll find unconventional is that it is in the middle of houses.  You pay the entrance fee and step in the Temple walls and you are transported to a different era, a feeling of peace creeping into you.  Walk around the garden and go up the temple.  Take your shoes off when you go up.  Look at the architecture, the materials used and the statues.  Look up and around when you are done because you will definitely get distracted with the houses surround the Temple area.

Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses and put on some sunblock.

Sidoarjo Mud Flow

Tragic.  That is the word that will enter your mind as you take the last step of the makeshift ladder.  Gary, barren and lifeless.  You will feel the frustration as the culprits continue to operate while those affected are still suffering and getting on with life as best as they could.
